Library Policies

Getting a Library Card

Library cards are processed during business hours until 30 minutes prior to library closing.

For adults to obtain a library card, please bring:

  • Your driver's license or another form of identification

  • A piece of mail with a local address

For juveniles:

  • Applications for juveniles under the age of 18 must be completed in the library with both the child and the parent/guardian present. Juveniles under the age of 18 will be linked to the parent or legal guardian. Parents must have a valid account or apply using the documents listed above.

Circulation Policies

Loan Periods:

  • Books and magazines may be checked out for three (3) weeks. Audio books and DVDs may be checked out for one (1) week.

Renewals:

  • Most items may be renewed three (3) times if there are no outstanding requests for the item. You may renew in person or over the phone. High demand or special interest items, as well as some interlibrary loan items, may not be renewable.

Fines and Fees:

  • Fines are charged for each day an item is overdue at the rate of .10 cents per day for books and magazines and $1.00 per day for overdue DVDs and audio books.

  • Fines are not charged for days the library is closed.



Printing, Copying, and Faxing

Printing and Copying:

  • Black and white copies are .25 cents. Color copies are .50 cents per copy.

Faxing:

  • Faxes are $2.00 for the first page and $1.00 for each additional page.

Computer Use

The library has free public WiFi and seven public access computers with a limit of 30 minutes per day per visitor. No library card is required for WiFi or computer access.

The library also has two computer workstations dedicated for use by children.
